Best Hvac Contractor
You decide and the contractors install

Why choose the best hvac contractors

Hvac contractor will decides if you have the best central air conditioner or the top brand. So, focus on choose the skillful and experience contractor to get great return.

I wouldn’t bother spending a lot money on higher efficient central air conditioner or Energy Star units. High seer rating or Energy Star equipment does not mean you’ll get what you pay for.

Higher seer rating and Energy Star equipment just tell consumers the central ac unit’s capacity. It does not mean you’ll receive the maximum capacity. Never mind that, by the way.

Homeowners, did you have had a contractor that worked on your central air conditioner and were you happy with it?

Or

There was a hvac contractor that works on your central heating and air conditioner units and it was horrible. You wouldn’t recommend to other homeowners.

Submission Guidelines:

Provide the hvac contractor company names, address, and phone number.

You’ll need to provide detail information to why you like and dislike that contractor or company.

How to identify the best hvac contractor

Does he/she have hvac contractor licensed? Some technician used other contractor’s licensed to install central heating and air conditioner units. So, make sure the contractor show you his/her licensed and their ID

  1. Is the contractor with licensed or without licensed will be working on your central heating and air conditioner units?

Some Hvac companies tend to send different person to perform load calculation and different people to work on it. You need to know who will be working on your central ac units.

I had seen the unlicensed technician working on the job and the licensed contractor nowhere nears it.

The best hvac contractor will stay and work with the unlicensed technician. If he/she does not work, he/she will make sure the technician and the helper will follow all code and watch over it.

  2. Is he/she still in the single physical address more then five years? If no, where is his /her previous address?

You don’t want to hire contractor that moves from location to location within one or two years periods or a contractor that changes it names often.

  3. Are the contractor insured, as well as the technician and any person, who will being working on your central ac units.
  4. Does the contractor offer preventive maintenance program to you?

Contractor will always offer maintenance program to extend the central air and heating life span. If the contractor doesn’t offer, it means his business is not well established.

  5. Is everything in writing? The technician or contractor shouldn’t touch your central heating and air conditioning units without writing contractor paper. Here is information that should be on papers.

    1. Load calculation
    2. labor and equipment cost
    3. Central ac and heating warranty
    4. Installation and completion dates

Load calculation is a process to find the right ton and Btu for your house. Some contractor will use the old central heating and air conditioner Btu and this tend to be wrong.

The best hvac contractor wills provides you a heat gain and heat loss calculation (load calculation) and tell you everything you need to know.

Reference is the best source of information. You can start out by asking reference from relative, friend, and co-worker.

Be patient with the contractor chooses process. central air conditioning units with regular maintenance supposed to last 15 or more years (depending on location).

Remember, you’re shopping for the contractor skill and experience, not the brand or the best central air conditioner units.

Watch for...

Be careful with big company that hires subcontractor to install heating and air conditioner units. I’m not talking about big air conditioner company; they take responsibility for their mistake.

For example, let’s say the big company is AB1 Company and AB1 Company has a department that deals with central air conditioner units.

AB1 Company hires subcontractor to install central air conditioner for you. After three years, the compressor breaks and you contact AB1 Company, but the AB1 company said it’s not their problem, so you need to call the subcontractor.

They start pointing finger at each other and it goes to be hard to get your problem fix. The best solution is you need to find out who will take responsibility if the central ac units have faulty installation.

Decide and choose the best hvac contractor
