York LX Compressor Failure

New central air conditioner system installed 7/1/10 by a factory authorized dealer and on 7/8/10 the compressor failed. Dealer said the unit was shipped without a capacitor and was a known problem. I would not recommend York, their website is of no help.

In Florida A/C in July is not a luxury it is a necessity, yet they only handle calls until 5pm. They have no standards for dealers because they don't answer the phone after hours either. I am still waiting to see if York will just replace the compressor or replace the unit.
