PVC pipe is clogged
by: Dadan

Yes, some central air conditioner unit will have pump to help remove the drip pan water. It should have flow switch that look like the toilet has attach to the pan (somewhat).

Some central ac unit are different and they don't have pump. It could just be the PVC pipe is clogged.

RE: water leaking through ceiling
by: Anonymous

Hi, I have a similar problem. The drip pan has a PVC pipe that appears to be clogged. The water overflowed into the attic and came through the ceiling. Could it be a bad pump that is not pushing the water out?

Water flows outside
by: Dadan

Hey, Heather

The drip pan should connect to a pvc pipe and this pipe supposed to allow the water to move freely (to outside).

Is a motor causing the water to moves or it moves naturally?
