Were can I locate the tonage of my air conditioning unit?

I have an aire-flo air conditioning unit with serial # 4605H2B60, model # AFAIR12B48. I'm having cooling problems and was trying to locate what ton it is before calling for service. I was told by the man that installed it that its 3 ton but I can't confirm that.

To find Ton, you will need model number. This is not model number U112370. Carrier central ac model number start with number then letter..example 38BYc04532.

The tag that is attached to my Carrier condensing unit is so sun bleached that the only legible thing on it is an embossed combination of letters and numbers. They are U112370. Can anyone tell me how many tons this unit is?

Marathern model r2a330akc1 is a 2 1/2 BTU/hr unit.
Bryant 17en024005 is a 24,000 BTU/hr unit or 2 ton.

Manufactures of residential and light commercial systems seldom use the term ton. Most units are rated as XXX BTU/hr.

12,000 BTU/hr is one ton of refrigeration. The BTU/hr rating divided by 12,000 will give you the tonnage.

According to your model # you have a 48,000 BTUH unit which would make it a 4 Ton unit.
