Trane Ac is the Best

I bought a new house (1800 sq feet) 16 years ago and a Trane AC was installed by the builder. The only problems I have had to this day is a disconnected wire in the condenser units, a small loss of refrigerant and a Honeywell mercury thermostat that needs calibration. That's it!!!! Is it still running? YOU BET IT IS!!!

Now that I am about to complete an one year course in HVACR at a technical school, I have started cleaning the evaporator coil, blower fan and return air duct on my unit. I just replaced the blower fan capacitor (getting 7 microfarads instead of 10). I intend to get another 10 years or more out of this central air conditioner.

YOU CANNOT STOP A TRANE!!!!

Returning to our home in Florida for the winter, the central ac failed. The central air conditioner unit was installed late 2007, rarely used during the winter and not used during the 6 months of summer.

The installer discovered that due to electrolysis a leak developed in the coil tubing, two copper tubes were touching each other with the aluminum cooling feathers pressed between.

Obviously this led to electrolysis. The cost of this poor design and quality control failure $500.00. Diagnoses of a Trane engineer "Environmental attack"

I don't think I will purchase another Trane product

In my opinion, Trane Ac is one of the best choices. I had Trane heating and air conditioning for 6 years and it still run well.

I believe Trane backs up what they say about quality and efficiency.

Don't purchase cheap air conditioners. Don�t buy air conditioner units with low price. Spend good money on a Trane air conditioner units and it will last long.
