Evaporator: RCBA3673, Condenser: RAMA 036
New House installation: May 1996.
One Evaporator coil removal and cleaning at 10 yrs old.
One R22 refrigerant top off an Schrader valve tightening at 13 yrs. old.
Filter replacement every 1-2 months, religiously!
2 compressor electrical contactor replacements as preventive maintenance done by owner.
Compressor has been very noisy turning on and off, at times but, it fixed itself and no longer noisy.
Electronic thermostat set at 77F all day and night. No one touches it!
No problems whatsoever and unit is now (2012) 16 years old!
Two HVAC Technicians say that I am just lucky and that new Rheems are not as good as they used to be. Don' really know what to think of their opinions.
Getting estimates for central ac replacement when it finally break down.
