The Big Unit (4 1/2 foot tall) looks nice but looks won't cool the house

$12,933 for top of the line Carrier 18.2 SEER Puron AC - Heat pump. Installed Oct. 2009.
This Hvac unit replaced a 15 year old central ac unit that could no longer be repaired.
I could have bought two cheaper hvac units but went with the most efficient unit. It is efficient, that's the good part.
The AC bombed on its first use, compressor needed replacement. Now at the start of the second cooling season it is again blown, it has a 10 year warranty that covers only parts. So we all know it costs big bucks to have a your AC diagnosed and serviced. So what if the parts are free...hee hee did I say FREE? What part of $12,933 is FREE?
So it breaks down once a year, the money I am saving on energy will be spent on service.
I do not recommend SEARS Home Improvement or Carrier.
The 10 year warranty is useless. It covers the part that you already paid for...they soak you for the service or the service contract.
