Poor York Unit and Masco and Sons Contractor Was

Regarding Model H2RD048S06B, Serial W0D7613648, This was a replacement unit for another York installed three summers ago. The first central ac unit started leaking freon after only about two weeks from what appeared to be poor construction.

The Hvac contractor, Masco and Sons, was excellent. It was determined the Hvac unit was not repairable and was replaced with this one.

Last summer the hvac unit was not working properly. I called Masco and Sons. He recharged the ac unit with freon. Tony Masco stood by his work and did not charge for the service call.
This summer on July 5, I again had to call Masco and Sons. The Hvac unit had slight moisture at the bottom of the condenser. Tony Masco again recharged the unit and again stood by his work, no charge to me.

It was explained to me that the original unit was still sitting in his garage because York would not reimburse him, nor, was he being reimbursed for his numerous service calls.

I was lucky to find a A/C contractor with integrity. York needs to support the people trying to support York products.
