Poor Goodman Central Ac Quality

This Goodman central air conditioner unit is less that 2 year old and has been having problems since installation. The latest problem is the poor quality in the discharge tubes and coils.

Apparently cracks and stress fractures will form on the bends of the tubes causing the blowers to freeze up and fail. Goodman has provided vibration damper and new tubes, but refuses to replace existing tubes that have not leaked yet.

The repairman stated that Goodman acknowledge its a manufactures defect but will not replace the tubes until they fail.

The repairman has stated that he is continually replacing these tubes. The central air conditioner unit is the GSC140601AE installed on Newport Homes.

HAS NOT WORKED FROM DAY ONE. Manufacturing defect, dryer securing screws, screwed into the condensor coil, hence leakage.

Goodman is talking about warranty, their tech rep does not want to talk to the home owner, but only to the installer, hence...we home owners are nobody. I have been suffering all thru' summer and ther is no goodman rep or goodman solution in site,

Had the central air conditioner unit installed 6 years ago and so far we have had to replace the compressor twice.

I might add that as I sit here writing this my house is at 89 degrees and the outside temp is 108, and if you have not guess by now my compressor on this wonderful Goodman needs to be replaced yet again.

I just do not want to do this again so I will replace the whole unit with anything but a Goodman, my bank account has run dry, to bad I can not say that for myself

Bought a high-efficiency, two speed, dual fuel furnace and central ac unit about 3 years ago. I've had 20 service calls on it so far.

It appears that the outside unit is poorly engineered. Seems now to be a piece of crap because it doesn't work longer than a couple of months at a time. Did Goodman drop quality as a consideration? I wouldn't buy it again.

This spring my air conditioner compressor locked up. I did not remember when I installed it so I had the neighbor's AC guy look to see how old it was. When he looked at the central air conditioner unit; he called it Jani -Junk.

Then he told me it was 18 years old. Pretty good junk I think. I think I will replace the compressor and motor on for another 18 years.

I bought a brand new home with a Goodman central ac unit. I have lived in the house 3 1/2 years and had two major coil problems - one in the inside unit 2 years ago and now the outside unit coil is bad.

So for two summers I've had high utility bills due to the coils leaking freon and had to pay high labor bills to have the so called warranty parts replaced!!!

Don't waste your money on this brand - it will cost you so much in the long run!!!!! Also the customer service at Goodman is awful, like it was my problem that their AC's are "junk".
