No heat, no ac, no fan, no noise

It's not working at all. We've tried readying the breakers, waiting, and it's too cold to do anything else. We've switched the thermostat on and off, onto heat and air, nothing.

No clicking, no whirring, nothing. I don't know what to do in this situation. The model is 30VDX10-HP. It came with the house, but I don't know how old it is.

$7900.00 for a unit that doesn't work NEW
by: Anonymous

My carrier unit has gone out for the third time...no a/c, no heat, no fan & no noise . I was without a/c from May 15 to June 19, which was the 7th repair call and it was repaired within 2hrs on the 19th...it's, under warranty...Could it be this is a bad unit to begin with?

Easy fix !
by: Lin

I know this is late, but it may help someone else. Remove the cover on the unit inside your home, so you can see the squirrel cage blower. (Get a flashlight so you can see back there, as things will probably be covered with dust.)

There's a control box in there with a group of wires going from it up to the blower, and 2 wires will separate from that group and go to a RESET switch on the bottom area outside the blower. Simply press that small button & release! Everything should start working immediately!

Nothing works
by: Chester

With so little information it is impossible to diagnose this problem. It sounds like you are not getting power to the unit.

I suggest you call a qualified HVAC technician.
You should call dealer that is certified for your brand of eqipment.
