New Central Air Unit and Furnace Smell

We had a new air conditioner and furnace installed 8-4-11. It is a regular air conditioner and a 95% efficiency furnace. Our house was built in 1974.

Ever since the installation we have had a musty smell in the house. I was fine before it was installed but since the air started running I have had burning and hurting eyes, red spots on my tongue and inside of mouth has red and white spots, nose burns and sometimes I have headaches.

My dentist and eye doctor say that it is an allergic reaction. So far 4 other people smell the musty smell in our house also.

Your central ac unit was about 2 month old. I called Amana; it is too embarrassing? Well, I couldn?t get any info from Amana personnel.

Amana representatives suggest the central ac unit was poorly install and consider you called the previous contractor. The info I got from Amana was not helpful and I didn?t wanna report that.

I apologize for not finding useful info on this matter.

Dadan,

I provided you with the model # and serial # of our new air conditioner and furnace and never did hear back from you. Did you find out anything?

Our furnace and air conditioner are both Amana. The air conditioner Model #ASX140361CB & Serial #1106210980. The furnace Model #AMH950904CXAE & Serial #1103667378.
