Never Own Another Goodman Central Ac

We bought our house new and a Goodman Central unit was installed. Over the 6 years we have lived in our house, we have had to call a repairman each summer. It has never cooled our home like I think it should.

I am in the process of getting estimates on replacing it with another brand of central air conditioner unit. I will never own another Goodman central air conditioner.

Higher energy bills than with my 25 year old "inefficient" unit. Has broken 3 times since installation. Leak in coolant system.

All three times took DAYS to repair due to wait time on part. Purchased to reduce high energy bills and to avoid having downtime due to repairs. My Goodman is in a commercial business ( dress shop ) Women will NOT shop when it is hot!

It seems every year for the past 5 and half years the central air units always needed top off with freon because the unit eats it somewhere (almost a half pressure every year)(yes it was is checked for leaks BTW none found)and now the thing is just falling apart.

New coil, blower motor,and lets not forget all the service calls when it just would not turn on. Nothing but junk and thier warrenty is crap also whats with that(only 1 year).

I live in Texas and its really hot this year.Just had the unit worked on to get us by until my Ac guy replaces it with something other than Goodman If you have one and it works for you then best of luck

It sounds like your Goodman was never installed properly nor was the ducting.
