Lennox Central Air Conditioners Leak

I bought a new house in Orlando in which the builder (Lennar) had installed two separate Lennox central air conditioner. We have Lennox unit for the ground floor and the other for the first floor. Within two years there was no cooling air coming from the first floor Lennox ac units.

The ac technician told me that gas had leaked causing low suction pressure. The pressure was 80 psi which he said was low. I do not understand why Lennox air conditioners go bad within two years and I had to spend hundreds of dollars fixing it.

Is Lennox central air conditioners are really bad and have manufacturing defects? The units go badly as soon as the warrantee period ends. Why the Federal and State regulators do not take appropriate actions against Lennox Company?

Lennox AC are junk. I had a new unit for 2nd floor
installed in 2006. Every year I have a new leak,or need a new coil. I had my first floor unit installed in 2003 and noe is leaking again. My york AC has fun for 27 years and only replaced the fan because a blade broke.

I had a Lennox installed in my new home and in the month before the 5 year expiration, the compressor fan motor seized. Had it replaced and two years later, it failed again! The there's the capacitor that had to be replaced. Now I'm leaking refrigerant and the unitnis only about 8 years old! This is ridiculous!

Lennox ac units have the good housekeeping seal.They will replace the unit (excluding labor)within the 2 year period.

My Lennox warranty just expired on June 10, 2010 and already there is a leak and freon needs to be replaced. Its just 5 years old and I paid 3,000 for it new.
