Leaking oil from the indoor air conditioning unit

by Consumer

My indoor air conditioning unit is leaking oil on the floor. I can not see where it is coming from in the unit because it is enclosed.

The outdoor condenser for the air conditioner will not turn on, but the indoor fan does blow air (hot air). What could be potential causes of the indoor oil leak on the floor?

Indoor Unit Is Leaking
by: Shawn

I presume this is regular central air conditioner. Oil leaks could only mean there is leaked near the evaporator coils. (Refrigerant is leaking)

That is one of the reason the central air conditioner is not cooling. The leaking could be from joint or other factors.
