Gibson Serial Number Not Weatherproof

it comes with a 10 year warranty but they put the serial number( which is required for the warranty ) on the side of the unit using a card that isn't weatherable... it wears off almost completely and you can't read it after a couple years! great this is wonderful i wonder if this is done on purpose.

The part number of the fan on top of the unit is still very clear. You cant tell me that they don't know this !!! but the serial number is gone??? this is crazy
