Dripping Noise

by Consumer

My central ac unit is in the attic. When the air is on there is a dripping noise in the laundry room (washing machine drain pipe).

Is this something to be concerned about? Could something be clogged or is this part of normal moisture removal?

A new Carrier system was just installed inside and outside was replaced. I hear sounds like a bad storm is here, dripping, and also sounds like rain on the room when there is no rain. Noise so loud that I can't sleep. My bill has doubled also. Help.

Your "dripping" noise you hear in your attic is water! Your drain line is most likely clogged and the drain pan is most likely full. You need to get it fixed NOW or you will have a very costly problem on your hands
