Carrier Central Air Conditioner Warranty Problems

Have a two year old Carrier with a 10 year parts and labor warranty. The King valve assembly leaked out all the freon. the dealer found the leak and ordered the parts from Carrier on Wednesday June 2, 2010 and today is Monday June 7, 2010 and still no parts.

I wonder if carrier has ever heard of FEDEX? I called Carrier on Friday June 4, 2010 @ 11:00AM and spoke to a "senior customer specialist" who promised to get back to me before 5PM on Friday. At this point I volunteered to drive to Orlando to get the part.

On Monday I spoke to the same rep who told me that the part "was not ordered soon enough to make the truck". I again asked about FEDEX and was greeted with stone cold silence, she had no answer.

I suggest that you purchase some other brand an ask if they know who FEDEX is.

Unethical practices by Carrier Air Conditioner NEW

Purchased 2 units 5 years ago with high ser rating.
One unit went out in June...I live in Phoenix Arizona...the hottest place on the plant. The unit was for the 2nd story; all 4 bedrooms located on the 2nd floor. It was 104 degrees inside. Called a licensed Carrier repairman...he could not schedule a repair call for 3 days. He was slammed with repair calls as was the other 5 licensed HVAC repair shops.
Long story short...the compressor was bad and the coils in the air handlers are rusted out. $1,600 later...compressor fixed, coils (not). Just today the second air compressor OUT! What can be done? I'm not rolling in money and cannot afford to live in Phoenix without air condition. I used savings to purchase these units and going broke to repair!

Don't buy Carrier!!! Poor Product! Poor service! NEW

Paid 5,000 for a new carrier heating and ac unit a year and a half ago.

Defective Air blower motor under warranty stopped. Yeah, replaced but no consideration for 350.00 labor bill.

What happened to standing behind your product? It's not my fault it doesn't work. Yet I'm paying to have it reinstalled! Should be on you Carrier!!!

Maybe we should file complaints since they appear to know they have a defective motor issue and skirt by on a parts only warranty.

I'll never recommend Carrier as a reputable company and just for the principle of it I'm going to make a huge stink. I'm tired of businesses that take your money and run from their responsibility.

I have been having major constant problems with our top of the line heat pump for the past 10 years now my compressor went out and is still in its 10 year but will not be covered.

I purchased a new home with two carrier units, the smaller unit does not put out cold air. the company that installed it will not return my calls regarding the letter sent to me addressing the units performance--needing additional R-104A. If I do the work the unit will not be under warranty. No wonder folks are not happy with this product.

Is there a warranty on this part. My fan was replaced in June at a cost to me of $238 plus labor. Did the technician then get re imbursed by Carrier for the part?

I wish that I had read about Carrier problems before I built my house. I have a Carrier HVAC system and the blower motor stopped working after being in my new house for only 15 months.

The motor has been replaced, but it cost me $370.00 for labor to replace the fan motor. I would not recommend Carrier because of their lack of quality.

Our carrier air is 4 years old and never did cool properly. For the last year freon has been leaking out. They finally changed out the a coil. 4 days later it won't run, just cycles off and on. I'm not empressed with the dealer or carrier. Won't use either party for next purchase!!

I am very disappointment with my Carrier Ac NEW

I just bought my Carrier Central Air last year and spent over $6500.oo wihich usually cast only $2500.00.

I purchased it from sears becuse the tech said they stand behind their words and if there is any problem they will come to fix it for free for the first year. It is not even a year yet and the motor is broken.

I called sears twice for tech to come and fix the problem and no one showed up. They knew becuse the Ac still its under warrnety I do not have to pay for labor.

Now a month past someone came to fix it and now they want me to pay for isntallation they said its over an year now.

I told tech I called several time and no one showed up . They do not care and i do not know what is my option. Help

Compressors are covered by a five or ten year part warranty. Labor, refrigerant, liquid line drier and any additional accessories would be extra.

Stand behind you products, Carrier!!

Our Carrier air conditioner had to have a new compressor after only 2 years. We had it fixed last summer and now we have a whole new set of problems that have the repairmen baffled, it's not cooling again. Of course the compressor wasn't included in the warranty and we had to pay over $1200 for the new one. I would never recommend a Carrier system to anyone.

I own a carrier furance that had a 5 year warranty and still had a month remaining when the circuit board went out. Carrier refused to pay for the repair saying they checked with their engineering department and found no problem or recalls for this part..

Solution: NEVER BUY ANOTHER CARRIER PRODUCT
