I know this is old but here are the facts.

11/6/96 Had a Bryant furnace, coil and outside unit installed.

5/22/97 preseason central air unit check up needed Freon

7/2/97 Coil freezes up needed Freon

7/7/97 Coil freezes up needed Freon again
So now I ask the serviceman could there have been any damage to the outside compressor. I was told NO.

6/12/02 Compressor valves are bad. So one season past the compressor warranty I was out of luck. Told the service man and called the office about the freeze up twice that maybe the compressor was damaged. It fell on deaf ears. Dealer wouldn't do anything for me. I ask what the price was for another Bryant unit. Oh we don't use that brand anymore. Gee I wonder why.

We just purchase a home with a Bryant Central AC that was installed less than two years ago.

In two years, the coil has needed replaced twice. We had to replace the coil the first week we lived in the house and discovered that the previous owner had it replaced less than one year prior.

Three weeks later, our unit is now making a very loud banging sound everytime it shuts down. It is so aggressive that it shakes the entire house.

We had a Bryant technician look at the unit and he advised us that nothing is under warranty. 1. We will never call them again. 2. We will never, ever purchase anything from this company. I'm writing this to save someone else from the heartache and money loss.

I had defective coil according to service personal. Claims metal used to produce coil erodes at a very high rate.

Bryant has not offered to replace or reduce cost to replace poor coils. Tiny holes developed in my system five years ago and has progressed to now system will have to be replaced or very expensive repair. My central air conditioning system is ten years old.
