Bought Janitrol Central Ac Unit

We replaced a Janitrol central ac unit 8 years ago with an updated version. Two years later we added a Janitrol heater. The old central ac unit had been in place for at least 17 years with minimal trouble. The coil in the new central air conditioner unit failed the first year.

It was replaced in warranty which required the entire inside unit being pulled out and put back in. This has happened every year since. We have had 7 coils and it has just failed again.

The manufacturer says now we are responsible but if we pay for this one, they will warranty it for two years. Big Deal. My central air conditioner closet looks like trash from so many installs and we have been inconvenienced every single year with an ac unit that does not work.

We installed window units to cover the down time. I am very very very very very upset that Goodman did not see fit to replace the entire thing before it went out of warranty. They have even tried to find some way to blame us for the failure i.e.

could the cleaning solutions from the nearby bathroom interact with the unit central ac unit? Could our (now deceased) dogs have something to do with it?

Ridiculous. Unit was a LEMON with a capital "L". We must now decide what to do since you have to replace it with a like unit so it will be compatible with the heater. All the technicians tell us they have never seen so much trouble in a Janitrol and that they are great central air conditioning units . Cannot prove it by me.
