does anyone know why there would be a fingernail polish mint smell coming from my home a/c unit

I have a sleeve unit while cleaning the floor
with amonia i had the ac on and now has a terrible
odor i cleaned the filter i had a fan on the window running all day but the bad odor is still
in any suggestion how i can get rid of the smell?

We get an oily, chemical smell when we use our air conditioning. We have checked the coil and it looks clean. Any suggestions?

is this a window unit or central ac? if it is a central ac check the outside unit wires inside the box and also look at the insulation around the pipes. sometimes these can come apart and get mixed up in the fan and cause odors.
