7/2011- New 4 ton Payne compressor installed

9/8/11 - Compressor stopped working. Power surges.

9/9/11- Installed new compressor

9/13/11- Compressor grounded out

9/14/11- 2nd compressor installed

Since then, everyday from 4pm to 9pm central ac unit continually runs and air is luke warm during this time frame. Outside unit has alot of water or moisture around it. Black and green mold forming underneath unit.

Two TVX switches and new lines have been installed during this time frame. Central ac unit deedp vacuumed twice and new freon put in during this time frame.

Carrier rep came out and wants to blame it on faulty install. However, just stood there and looked at machined and did not have tools or take anything apart. Did not respond when the compressors failed twice.

I am going broke and the AC tech thinks I am paranoid...nice huh? I need help and directions in what is going on and what I can do to get this work properly please. Thank you.

EDITOR'S NOTE FROM DADAN: I move additional Info Here from different section

Initial compressor failed 9/8/11. New one installed 9/9/11 and grounded out on 9/13/11. Current or third compressor running, however, every day from 4 pm to 9 pm unit runs and will not time out or reach temperature.Air coming from vents is luke warm during this time.(AC tech thinks I am paranoid....nice)

Outside unit has alot of water or wetness around it. Black and green mold forming underneath unit. Large copper pipe dripping water.

The TVX switch has been changed twice. Lines are new. Vacummed and changed freon twice all since new install of 7/2011.

Carrier has been out and claiming faulty install....but just stood there and looked at it and did not have any tools or take anything apart. The rep not say a word when the compressors crashed."

Central Ac Compressor Failure
by: Dadan

Hey, Kay

The reason for the original compressor failure will determine if the second compressor will fail. For example, compressor burn out is once of the worse case.

You are the victim here; this is not your fault. Ac tech and Carrier representative need to step it up. The only thing you need to do is get in their face and tell them to complete what they started.

Paranoid is not good enough. We have to do better than that. If the situation were reverse, I would called the tech 24/7 and show up in his business until he fixes the problem. It is not our fault.

I hope I help
