Advised To Change Outside Carrier Unit in 2008

by Melinda
(Tallahassee)

I moved into my home in 2003, was unaware that there was a Trane intake unit in the attic and a Carrier outdoors unit until 2008. I have had the yearly service contract where the company services it twice a year.

Now, in July, it goes out. I spoke with a salesman about purchasing the whole system - have to replace everything due to R-22 Freon...... Anyways, the estimate I got was $9,700 for "everything."

It will be three weeks before it can be installed so they thought my system would keep cooling until then.

The salesman mentioned getting a temporary until the unit comes. Well, he cannot get a hold of me because I work during the day. Now, I have been waiting for almost two hours for a tech to show up.

How aggravating!!!!!!
