DON'T EVER BUY THIS BRAND!!!!!!!

We live in a fairly new development of houses in which Heil central air conditioners were installed.

We're currently trying to get complete data, but the count at this point is a couple dozen houses have had the units break down between years 1 and 5, for some houses they have broken down repeatedly (4-6 times).

This brand is very inferior and a total rip-off. The only person it benefits are the HVAC repairmen in the area!!

There are only 4 major manufacturers in the world
Heil is an ICP brand also made by Carrier and carry's even a better warranty then the Carrier brand a NO Hassle warranty. If you are having and issue with any brands now a days it is by far not the unit but the inexperience or lack of knowledge of the installer or the employee servicing this unit. With the new Federal manufactured standards and quality checks through production it is almost impossible the units made today are to be at fault. Damages can happen in shipping the equipment to a supplier right down to improper install or service from the employee or the installer. I am sure that no one what to know that they picked the wrong company to service install or repair there HVAC systems but 93% of the issue are from the person servicing or installing your HVAC equipment. Always get a second or third opinion.

I've been installing I'll furnaces and air conditioners for five years never had a problem in any event to blame your installer I don't think he knows what he's doing

Why did you give it so many stars if it is a piece of junk--- I totally agree--Heil is a pick of junk--not even good as a fishing anchor. Should be put out of business.

I had one put in 2011 because I trusted my repairman--it is a pice of junk. Please keep passing the word--DO NOT BUY A HEIL--it is junk.

have had to replace FOUR compressor fans, and now the round fan that forces the air into the house is bowed and split, ac guy says some thing craweled inside and hit it, but i don't think so no blood or fur or bone, just his way of not having to say its defective and i have to pay for it.

oh well been almost three weeks and no ac man or part, sure is hot. when i finally can afford another ac unit it will not be a Heil, nor the same ac guy, he's been good but its damn hot and not the first phone call.

Installed in November of 2009, always very very noisy and the compressor went out in June 2010, second compressor went out after two days, the no hassle warranty is not worth the paper it is written on.

I will bad mouth this central air conditioner unit every chance I get to anyone who will listen, ICP does not stand behind their warranties, and make things as difficult as possible.
